Overview

RA : Local File Sharing is a simple, secure, and user-friendly application that allows you to share files across devices on your local network. You do not need to install Python or any dependencies—just use the provided .exe file!

How to Use

Download and run `Local_File_Sharing.exe`

Double-click the .exe file to launch the app. No installation required.

Start Sharing

Click the Start Sharing button in the app window.
The app will create a folder named RA_Local_File_Sharing in the same directory as the .exe file (if it doesn't already exist).
Any files you want to share should be placed in this folder.

Access and Share Files

The app will display two URLs:
- Local Access: For use on the same computer (e.g., http://localhost:5000)
- Network Access: For use on other devices on your local network (e.g., http://192.168.1.5:5000)
Open the URL in any web browser to view and download shared files.
Use the Copy button to easily share the URL with others.

Stop Sharing

Click the Stop Server button to stop sharing files.

Customization

Change the Port:

If port 5000 is already in use, enter a new port number and click Apply Changes before starting the server.

Open Shared Folder:

Use the Open Folder button to quickly access the RA_Local_File_Sharing directory.

Troubleshooting

Cannot Access from Other Devices?

Ensure all devices are connected to the same local network (Wi-Fi or LAN).
Make sure your firewall allows connections to the selected port (default: 5000).
Use the correct Network URL shown in the app.

Port Already in Use?

Enter a different port number and click Apply Changes.

No Files Showing Up?

Add files to the RA_Local_File_Sharing folder. Refresh the web page if needed.

FAQ

Q: Is this app safe?

A: Files are only shared within your local network. Only people with the Network URL can access your files.

Q: Can I use this on my phone or tablet?

A: Yes! Just open the Network URL in your device's browser (make sure it's on the same Wi-Fi).
